Plureon is a privately owned biotechnology company located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Plureon was founded in early 2002 in order to develop technologies originating at the Laboratory for Cell Therapy and Tissue Engineering of Children’s Hospital Boston, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

Plureon has established key relationships with leading academic researchers, large biotechnology companies, governmental sponsors of research, and others. By bringing together the best-in-class resources from these various sectors, Plureon is able to advance its technologies both efficiently and effectively.

Plureon is funded by its founders, private investors, corporate partners, non-profit institutions and government grants.

Mr. Eason, Plureon’s founder, is a seasoned manager and entrepreneur. Prior to founding Plureon, Mr. Eason was a consultant in the Private Equity Group of Bain & Company in Boston, where he advised premier global private equity firms on prospective acquisitions and on portfolio company growth strategies. Earlier, Mr. Eason built and managed a successful real estate investment business in Atlanta. Mr. Eason has also held various management positions with non-profit organizations.

Mr. Eason holds an M.B.A. with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School, where he also received the John L. Loeb Fellowship in the field of finance. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee with a B.A. in English and mathematics.
